Some people have subjected a 30-year-old man, Kwadwo Afful, to severe beatings leading to his death at Sefwi Ahibenso in the Sefwi Bodi District of the Western North Region after failing to render an account of Marijuana popularly known as ‘Weed’ he sold for his boss.
Kwadwo Afful’s untimely death comes after failing to return the proceeds he had from the Indian Hemp he was given to sell.
His lifeless body was left on the streets of Sefwi Ahibenso near Sefwi Bodi in the Western North Region Thursday morning after he was gang bash by these persons who are at large.
Speaking in a telephone interview with UTV’s Western North Regional Correspondent, Kwabena Dickson about the sad incident, the Grandfather of the deceased, Daniel Kwasi Tawiah explained that he saw a crowd on the street. He curiously went there to find out what is happening only to be told some ghetto guys have beaten his grandchild to death for not rendering account after selling the goods given to him.
Mr Kwasi Tawiah immediately informed the Police at Sefwi Bodi and the body was picked up and deposited at the Sefwi Juaboso Government Hospital morgue for further investigation.
However, the suspects are at large.
Meanwhile, Oliver Ackah, the deceased’s elder brother, says the family has vowed not to stay unconcerned until all the perpetrators are arrested and brought to book.
According to him, those who beat his younger brother leading to his untimely death are all known in the community.
