Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has attacked Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Murtala Mohammed for claiming that she belongs to the LGBTQI+ Community.
According to her, the Member of Parliament cannot conclude that she is a member of the LGBTQI+ community when he has no evidence to back his claim.
To Ursula, it is shocking that his colleague Members on the Minority side of Parliament heard him but failed to condemn his utterances.
“I repeatedly heard Hon. Murtala refer to me as a practitioner of LGBTQ to the hearing of everyone in the house and every single one of you is behaving as if you didn’t hear him. In response to that, I say he is one. It is only a madman who will refer to his colleague in this house as a practitioner of LGBTQ.
When you haven’t caught me with your wife, mother or daughter and you sit there and refer to me in those terms and we call ourselves Honourable Members. You all hear it and pretend to have lost your sense of hearing,” she said
