82 Police officers sue IGP, Police Service, and Attorney General for not promoting them

The Attorney General, the Ghana Police Service, and the Inspector General of Police have been sued by some eighty-Two 82 police officers over failure to promote them despite being due after completing their studies.

“All the Plaintiffs in the Ghana Police Service applied for the 2017 2018 Academic Year Study Leave with a pay program for Tertiary Courses ranging between two 2 to four 4 years.“

Each and every qualified plaintiff was chosen and forced to sign the necessary bond, agreeing to work for the police department for at least five years after finishing their various courses, with the understanding that the bond would be entreated in the event of a breach.
